Adding Ribbon Flair To Planters - tan and white ribbon on pot of red mums sitting on a white plant standI love using ribbon or fabric strips to dress up planters and pots. The ribbon with wire holds up the best and if outside in the elements, it keeps its shape and color. This look gives any basic pot, planter, or even a window box, that final jewelry accessory to your planting outfit.

Total Time: 20 min.

Yield: 6

  • ribbon
  • fabric
  • floral wire
  • scissors
Adding Ribbon Flair To Planters - supplies

  1. With ribbon or fabric, make loops doing figure 8s. Pinch in the center of your figure 8 and apply a piece of floral wire approximately 10 inches long. The rest of the wire, after securing the bow by looping around tightly, will be used to make a stem to go down in your planter soil.

If you want to add a little fall color to your garden on a budget, fall wire ribbon goes a long way! You can purchase it at the dollar store or many craft stores. Along with ribbon you can add fall picks that are sold at the same location.

This gives a festive fall look that will carry through the Thanksgiving season. So simple, here's how!
