White Heat Marks on Wood Table

I need help removing ironing marks from a wood table top. They look similar to water marked furniture. The kids used the dining room table to make iron-on tee shirts. They left a mark on the table top that looks like a water mark. The finish has a white haze to it. Any ideas?

I have been living with two horrid white marks on the (rather expensive) dining table for too long. So pleased I found this site and the steam iron/t-shirt suggestion. If it had been April, would have thought it to be an April fools joke, putting an iron on the table, but it's amazing. It actually worked! Thank you so much folks! Incredible! =) (10/01/2009)
