Supplies for Yarn Easter Eggs

Steps:

  1. In a large plastic bowl or container, use about l/2 cup glue and a little bit of water to make a slightly runny consistency. Wrap yarn around your fingers to prevent it from tangling. Place in the bowl and soak up the glue.
  2. Covering the yarn in glue.

Allowing the yarn egg to dry.

  3. On wax paper, use one end of the yarn and begin wrapping around a balloon until the surfaces are covered. Allow to dry on wax paper for about 24 hours.
  4. Removing the eggshell to leave the empty yarn egg.

  5. Pop the balloon and cut an opening in the egg. Decorate as desired. I put bows on the top and used colored shredded paper for the inside before placing candy in the egg.
  6. The empty yarn egg.

    The eggs filled with candy.
