With the high cost of cosmetics, I have discovered a way to use ALL of your lipstick! When the tube gets flat on the top, I use a plastic cuticle tool to dig out the remaining lipstick.

There is a lot of lipstick left after it becomes level with the container. Just use a sponge tip brush and you will get many more uses.

If you're running low on lipstick, or looking for another shade, but hating those big-bucks prices, try applying foundation and a little moisturizer, lip balm, or cocoa butter onto your lips before adding your lipstick with a lipstick brush and/or rubbing it on with your finger.

Blending the two colors will give you a smoother, more customized look, and if you use a darker shaping foundation in addition to your matching shade, even better: you can mix up more than one custom lip color that's perfect for your skin tone, and your bank account.

My tip is for being able to use the last of lipstick tubes. You take a pill box that is labeled for the days of the week. Then you dig out the last remnants of the tubes of lipstick and you put one color per compartment.

Save money on lipstick by using the lip color pencil to outline your lips, then use it to fill in the lips with the pencil. The color stays.
