My boyfriend spilled red wine all over a cushion on our brand new microfiber sofa. I immediately took the cushion out of the sleeve and soaked it in cold water. Any advice on how to prevent it from staining?

Red wine stains are difficult to remove. You must not put salt nor put directly in the washing machine because warm water will make the stain worse. On synthetic material you can try :
.hot milk
. vinegar or white wine
.carbonated water with alcohol
