During the holidays, things get hectic. For Thanksgiving, if you cannot volunteer to serve others, then take a plate to someone who is alone, or better yet invite them to dinner. Makes all the difference in the world.

If you really want to save money on Thanksgiving dinner this year, consider volunteering at your local soup kitchen. You will be helping those less fortunate, and you get to eat for free. I took my (then teen) children one year because I wanted them to experience it and it was the best Thanksgiving we've had to date!

This year some friends of ours from church are renting a gym and they have invited any and all church members to come if they do not have other plans for their Thanksgiving. Everyone is to bring a fingerfood or a drink. What a nice way to share the holiday!
PLEASE invite someone to your feast that would have otherwise spent the Holiday alone! This can be a very depressing time of year for SO very many people.
