Apple Pie-like Dessert

How to make a quick and easy apple pie-like dessert:

Peel, wash and dice up 3 to 4 Gala red apples. Place apple pieces into small square casserole dish (about 8 x 8). Stir in some cinnamon-sugar mixture to taste. Add a pinch of nutmeg and a pinch of cloves (if desired). Dab about four tsp. of butter on top of apples (one in each corner). Using a can of Pillsbury crescent rolls, unroll half of the rolls (one sheet) and lay on top of apple mixture.

Tuck edges down into pan. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over top. Cook at 400 degrees F until top is a dark golden brown. This will ensure that the crescents are cooked all the way through.

Let cool and enjoy! Goes great with vanilla ice cream!
