Fixing Runny Mashed Potatoes

If your mashed potatoes are too soupy, put them over medium/low heat with the top off and let them cook for about 10 minutes. Stir potatoes often so the bottom doesn't burn.

That's one reason I always keep instant mashed potato flakes in my pantry. If I accidentally put too much milk in my potatoes I just add some flakes until they are the right consistency!

I usually add some instant mashed potato flakes if mine are runny :)

I made them with instant but didn't know I had to much water in the pot when I started to make them. So taking the idea about the 10 mins thing and running with it.... so here goes...

I'd do what Kim does. A handful of instant. I don't want to wait ten more minutes if I've planned them to be done when the main course is.
