Wash with a load of clothing it's color with regular washing powders, good luck.

Vinegar in the rinse cycle should take out the sizing in the fabric that adds to the stiffness problems. Vinegar also cuts through laundry soap build up on older clothing that results in stiffness. Depending on the size of your load use about a half cup on average.

(The smell goes away once clothes are dried.) Sometimes it takes a couple washings & drying in the dryer to get the stiffness out of new clothes.

Just wash it a time or two and dry with a fabric softener :-)
