Mix olive oil with vinegar and rub it in with your finger. Let sit for about an hour then wipe off with a soft cloth. Works for me hope it works for you.

Fingernail polish remover, acetone free.

My 5 yr old just got white out all over our light wood table. After trying water, soap, elbow grease, and various sprays - all to no avail - I did an internet search and found this page. I decided to try the olive oil & vinegar combo - less scary than the nail polish removed.

IT WORKED GREAT. The white-out dissolved almost immediately. THANK YOU to whoever posted that great suggestion!
