Recently I had to have my contacts resurfaced, due to damage. The simple act of dropping one in the bathroom sink can really cause problems. To keep this from happening again, I now place a foam shelf liner cut larger than my sink size over the sink. Now, if I happen to drop one inserting it or taking it out, I know it won't be damaged. When not in use, I roll up and keep handy in the bathroom.

Are you referring to hard contact lenses? I didn't think those were still around. I wore those maybe 35 years ago and switched to soft contacts as soon as I could.
I've never heard of resurfacing contacts! I assume you mean gas permeable, as I don't see how it could be done with soft lens-but I have gas perm & never heard of this before! Maybe they keep it a secret around here to make more money!
Duckie-Do, you didn't mention a second advantage to covering the sink with the soft shelf liner. You won't risk losing an expensive contact lens down the sink!
