Harvest Dinner Apple Cake

• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 4 cups diced apples (raw)
• 2 cups flour
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 cup nuts (opt.)

Directions

Mix above in order. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. Serve warm or cold with Cool Whip or ice cream.
