New Cleaning Use For An Old Toothbrush

Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,246 Posts

Don't through away that old toothbrush. Carefully heat the toothbrush handle with a lighter for about 10 seconds and bend into a curved L shape. Dip in cold water to cool it down. You can use it to easily clean corners of windows, bath room wall corners, etc.

I have always used old tooth brushes for cleaning but never thought to bend the handles. Thanks for the tip.

Great idea, thanks.
Questions: Which way do you bend the heated toothbrush?
How old is old for a toothbrush to be used for cleaning?

What a great idea. I will try it to clean that small hole in the toilet.

to Parker - Since one is supposed to change your toothbrush every 3 months, I'd say 3 months is "old"! And I think you could bend the handle either way, depending on what you thought you might clean with it.

Actually, I'm trying to decide if bending the handle is going to be any sort of advantage for me, or if the toothbrush is just fine the way it is.
