Keeping Track of When You Changed the Air Filter

Whenever I change my car's air filter, I write that day's date right on the rim of the filter with a Sharpie marker. That way, I can see at a glance when the filter was last changed.

We do the same thing. Also, we also keep a magnetic pad on our furnace and each time we clean the furnace filters, we write the date. So we can keep track of when it's time to do so again.
