People Finder Advice?

I would like to know what (if any) people finders or locators you use. I am also looking for cell phone trace or reverse look ups for either addresses or phones.

I was trying to help my friend and we only find PAY SITES and those leading us in circles to dead ends. There are surely some good sites out there that don't breech privacy rights in any way that will allow a regular person, like myself to locate real people without a lot of lost time? I know there must be sites that are used by our police forces and dectectives -- finding them is a whole nother thing!

For reverse phone look ups I use phonebook.com. After you enter the site there is a link on the top that says reverse look up or something like that. It is free.

There are many sites out there. A few you can try are: 411.com, Zabasearch.com, and Yahoo.com. In Yahoo.com go to People Search. Good LucK!

You can go online for public records. Just go to a search engine, type in the state and county you want to check into and you have a wealth of info at your fingertips.

state + county + probate court
state + county + name of correctional facility

As a bailbondsman, I can tell you that you really can't "find" anyone on the internet without paying unless they are easily found. When I say that I mean, if you have an address, name or number, you can go to the sites listed above or 411.com and do a reverse search. Other than that, if they are unlisted or otherwise not on those sites, you will have to pay.

For business I use Autotrac, but I'm not sure if just anyone can use this or people in my type of business and the like. They do charge, but you get loads of information and good information. Hope this helps.

I have been looking for someone for a while now. I paid a good deal of money to a site called 1-800-U.S.Search. DO NOT use them. They copied a couple of names out of the phone book and sent it to me. That was it. I found much more on my own. I even wrote and asked nicely for a refund since what I received was pitiful.

They refused. The reason I chose this site -it was on Oprah. I thought they would be reputable. They were not. They cheated me . Try county records, probate judges office, library.
