Caring for Refinished Coffee Table?

I sanded, stained, and sealed my coffee table using wood stain and polyurethane 6 months ago. I clean it with Pledge every week. Now it looks dry, old, and the grain looks almost white. Do I need to re-sand, stain, and seal it again? Thanks so much!

I suspect that you have a buildup of Pledge on this table. I have many pieces of wood furniture - new and antique. I dust them. With a duster or a Swiffer. No Pledge. No oil. No anything. They are all fine. I think you have damaged this piece with over cleaning & too much TLC. I am not sure how to get the buildup off the piece, but I think that this is what you need to do. Polyurethane doesn't need any type of polish or treatment.

If it's simply a build up of Pledge, washing it using Murphy's Oil Soap should do the trick.
