My husband leaned against a solid wood wall that had just been oiled/stained. Does anyone have any idea how to salvage the dress shirt?

I would try Starter Fluid. You can purchase it at Walmart in the automotive section for about $2.00 a can. Just spray it on the stain and hopefully it will take it out. I use it on all oily stains and it does a great job. Be sure to wash the item several times to get that smell out. Good luck
