How do you get your vacuum to pick up little pieces of lint? My carpet is old and seems to want to keep hold of these little pieces with a vengeance! My vacuum is a good one, but these little guys are really stubborn. Help please.

Oh god I have the same problem. What I do to get most of it up is to #1 make sure your vacuume bag or filter is clean, the brushes on the bottom are cleaned and then before I vacuume, I use a good stiff yard rake over the entire carpet area. That really helps rip those little suckers right off of the surface of the carpet.
