I would take it to the professional dry cleaners.

I wash my down comforters all the time. The cleaners will in fact take you to the cleaners on this one. Use the large machines at a laundromat.
When you place it in the dryer you need a pair of washed tennis shoes (no dirt) or 4-6 tennis balls.
The shoes or balls will pound the down and it will come out fluffier than the day you bought it. Treat the stain before hand and you will be pleased with the results. I sometimes wash them at home and then run over to the laundromat to dry them. It doesn't take a lot of time either.
