I live in Billings, MT and am wondering if I can plant a second crop of lettuce now. Daytime temps are around 85 F this time of year, but it will soon be about 75 during the day and 45-50 at night.

My understanding is you can even plant lettuce in the fall-but you have to have a coldframe-to protect them from frost. Go to Burpee.com.They have a place on their website to ask Questions,& plenty of articles & info. Good luck& happy gardening.
