Recipe for Red Mud Cake?

Would this be similar to a red velvet cake? or a mud cake that has red food coloring in it? Possibly a combination of both?

Kas2, that was my thought. I wonder if they are one in the same. I do have a recipe for that and it uses a cake mix so makes it really easy.
