- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nutmeats (if desired)
- 4 Tbsp. soft butter or margarine
- 1 beaten egg
- 3 peeled, chopped apples
Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Blend butter and egg together. Stir into dry ingredients and nuts. Then mix in apples. Spread mixture into a greased Pyrex-type pie plate. Bake 25-30 minutes in a 350 degree F oven. Cut into wedges like a pie and serve alone or with whipped cream or ice cream.

Thanks for sharing this recipe. I am going to have to try it. We live in apple state - Washington ! I always have so many apple as there are orchards right next to us.
