- 1 lb. hamburger
- 2 med. potatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 cup cheddar or Velveeta cheese
Cook potatoes, celery, onion and salt in 1 1/2 cups water until tender. Add browned and drained hamburger and 2 cups milk. Use the remaining 1/2 cup milk to blend with flour to thicken soup. Add cheese.
