Identify Bugs Yourself

I spent some considerable amount of money until I realized that I had to identify the bugs myself. I have not found an exterminator with identification capability. Why should they, because they came keep coming back and back and charge and charge.

Buy a USB digital microscope. The better ones are $100, the others are anywhere from $30 to $60.00 Once you can get an image, send it to your local university, who will identify the picture you send them. Then you have to research how to kill them.

Tiny black bug help

I have a problem with little black bugs. They are small, maybe slightly larger than point on a needle. Flat. They are reddish brown or black. They are not fleas, however they had set up camp in my dog's fur.

I am also on my third exterminator and I now I am finally happy we have terminix. They're not more expensive really than the other places but they believed me right away about these little black bugs and many of them were in my room and in my bed and they were biting me but not my son. I believe they are carpet beetles because I saw them fly for the first time yesterday. The previous exterminators politely invited me to go elsewhere because they thought I was crazy. I am so not crazy I literally saw one fly over my bed last night when I woke up this morning and changed my t-shirt there was a dead one on my t-shirt. I nearly flipped. We vacuumed constantly but you have to vacuum and dump everything out outside right away. It's best to get a high HEPA vacuum so nothing escapes the vacuum cleaner. If you have a bagged vacuum you have to throw the bag out right away but outside not inside. You need to be diligent with dusting with a damn cloth even the curtains the drapes everything needs to be dusted and vacuumed. If you use your exterminator who believes you long enough you will eventually get to a place where they're either none or very few. We also had weevils when we first got here I did not know what the heck was going on. I could sweep the kitchen floor and come back and it looked like I did nothing usually buy the refrigerator in the stove and under the cupboards on the baseboards at the floor. We eventually found one of the cabinets that we rarely use because it's kind of useless due to which shape and size had bugs in there we cleaned everything out and I cried because we had to throw all the flour sugar baking soda baking powder pasta rice everything had to go unless it was in a can or a bottle. It was sad believe me very sad. But it had to happen. Since then our kitchen has not been too bad at all really but we still have these carpet beetles and I do believe we have lights for a certain term during the year because birds made nests in the gutters.

If you have bird nests near your house you have to clean everything out because they have mites and when the birds leave the might stay and they go to the closest place to stay and usually that would be you and your home. Don't give up if an exterminator tells you you're crazy because you're not and some people are allergic to some of these things and can have bites that look like welts sometimes people have these little boogers stick to their skin like I did. It's a terrible ordeal it's enough to make you go crazy literally. I thought I was losing my mind after a while I couldn't stand it it was a nightmare. So trust your instincts but clean clean clean clean clean clean clean clean clean clean clean clean clean clean everything it's better to dump everything out and clean it all out then to go a year or more trying to figure out what it is. If you have house plants spray a little hydrogen peroxide on the top part of the soil it will get rid of mites or get rid of the plants. Lots of these little black bugs are attracted to light be careful at night in your bedrooms with light and open windows. I have double screens and I even have screens that are gnat proof yet they still get in so don't give up. But do everything in your power to vacuum and clean and throw out any food that's been in your cabinet for a while even in your refrigerator seal everything in airtight containers and if you can keep it in the refrigerator keep it in the refrigerator if you can't don't buy it unless you absolutely need it and buy the smallest size possible. You will need to do this until you are 6 months free

Does any one know what the tiny black bugs are? They bite and when you try to get them off you,,it feels like a piece of metal and nearby impossible to get them out! Please add your email address to this page if you have the same problem and then we will have enough information to get the dec and/or the health department help identify it and find a treatment
