Refinishing Bathroom Counter With Glass and Epoxy?

I have a green and yellow marbled bathroom counter which is quite ugly. I saw a post about using broken glass and epoxy on a floor of a foyer or something on another site. I would really love to do that to my bathroom counter. The problem is the link from the other site had no instructions on how to do this. I do not know what the countertop is made of or even how to tell. I just know it's ugly and it needs covered in some way. Does anyone have any ideas or where I can look to do this?

Look online for a product called Paper Illusions Wallpaper - projects turn out fantastic with this product covered with clear polyurethane!
