When I get balloons for my birthday or get Get Well Soon balloons, they eventually go flat. However, the ribbon attached to them is still good. I cut it off, cut a cardboard bobbin from an empty cereal box, then wrap the ribbon around it. I cut a small slit in the cardboard to hold the end of the ribbon. These pieces of ribbon are long enough to dress up small to medium sized gifts.
