My 16th birthday party is in the winter/fall weather so it's not hot at all. My best friend and I always have a joint birthday party because our birthdays are only 4 days apart. She's not really girly and I'm tom boyish. We would like a party that's not really expensive and that we could do at night, but we don't have many ideas beacuse of the weather and not really expensive please! Since it's our 16th birthday we still want it to be special.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

This sounds cool! It would be cool if you could have some sort of dance party. YOu would need someone's house, or an available event place (even in a church or school), a DJ or someone volunteering to do it, food, cool lights, etc.

Itcould be very affordable if done right.

You could pool your money and rent a room in a pizza place. Make a playlist on your phone and hopefully the restaurant has speakers.

I'm turning 16 in October and I want to do a few things with my friends, but I don't want to spend loads of money. I have thought about go karting and a trampoline park, but I don't live near many of those places.

I don't have any ideas of what to do. Please help.

For future reference, a good theme would be a competition theme, or an open mic theme, or for everyone to go to the movies or bowling.

By a competition I mean, you separate the guests into groups and then you all compete for a prize. Either something silly like a relay or 3 legged race or a crafts contest or a costume contest or even a cooking contest.

As far as open mic, either go to one inn a coffee shop in your town, or host your own.

Other things are a nice bonfire, a scavenger hunt, a pizza party, or a night out on the town.

I always loved skating. You could go rollerskating, or even ice skating if you have an indoor rink. It is inexpensive and good for both sexes.

I'm turning 16 at the end of this month and idk what to do. It's my first party where I can invite guys, but that can only happen if the party isn't at my house. My mom doesn't trust guys so she wants to do something that's cheap, but fun, where she doesn't have to clean up afterwards.

I was thinking a pizza place with games singing, etc., or going to Santa Monica, bowling, or ice skating. I need help please and thank you.

Take the party to the bowling alley. You can have a package deal for games, shoe rental, food, drinks and maybe even a cake. This way the guys and gals can have fun together and your mom won't have to clean up the mess.

Boys have a lot of energy. Skating or rock climbing will keep them busy.

Girls love shopping. When my daughter was younger she loved to go to the mall with her best friends. They would spend the day trying on clothes in different stores and taking pictures of each other.

You can also find a nice place to go and eat. Maybe a pizza parlor or an all you can eat restaurant.

I don't know what I want to do for my birthday. It's May 10th, which also happens to be Mother's Day this year. I want to do something that's different, not something everyone does like bowling.

Any ideas would be really helpful.

It's my 16th soon and it's a school day so I only have the weekend to do something, before the event or after. I have 2 friendship groups, and they have never really mixed before. So I need ideas for my birthday with them separately. One of the groups would be a day doing something and the other could be doing something then like a sleepover/slumber party after. They're both mixed boys and girls.

I'm turning 16 on April 22. I'm having a party with boys and girls, and it's very low budget. I want to do something at a park. I don't want it to be a scavenger hunt, as some of my friends have scoliosis (curved spine, very painful), and they can't move around for an extended period of time. I'm not very girly either. My parents don't want a bunch of people over. It doesn't have to be at a park. Any ideas? Please, nothing expensive. Thank you!

What about some sort of board game contest, or card games? Are your friends into that sort of thing? You might set up a tournament or similar with games like Trivial Pursuit or card games like Hearts.

Does anyone in your group play guitar? Music for a singalong always goes over well, I think. Could you do charades? I hope these suggestions give you some ideas.

Play triple dog. Where the birthday girl picks who goes first. The girl who is picked must pick a girl to dare them. If they fail to complete the dare they could challenge the person who dared them to complete the dare, it that person successfully completes the dare, the girl who didn't do the dare must shave her head, or something crazy.

Get dressed up with a bunch of your friends and go out to an expensive dinner, have a hang out session at your house. Just decorate everything super cute, rent out a small little house and have your party there with decorations, music, food, and a photo booth.

There's so many things you can do. 16th birthday parties don't have to be a massive thing. Get your friends together and celebrate your birthday doing what you want to do. The party isn't what makes you have a great birthday, it's the people you choose to be around that makes all the difference.

When my daughter turned 16, we had a hair. One of her cousins is in beauty school & came to help. The girls came with clean hair & their brush or comb, then they did each others hair. That was all they did. We gave them stuff from the dollar store-make up bag, hair towel, etc. WE provided pins, new combs, curling irons, etc. for them to use at the party.

Just after that, one of her friends had a party at the park. They did silly games and had hot dogs & such, then the cake. They had boys & girls, just kind of a hang-out thing.

Another idea is to have a pizza party. You make the dough & the kids load it up. The boys can roll out the dough (Muscle contest). Then swim or group dance or something simple.

What a great Idea! Our Church would let us use the kitchen and we could have a "cook off" Girls vs Boys...good healthy "inexpensive" fun. Maybe we can make our own cake too!

I need help coming up with a birthday party theme for my 16th birthday. It's going to be a boy-girl party and I don't really know how to make it enjoyable for the guys. I've thought about doing an Alice in Wonderland theme or Clue theme, but I don't think they fit my personality. I would like it to be based on a popular movie or scene, but I'm too childish at heart for the other two. If you can help me please let me know. It needs to be fun for the guys and the girls!

Please help.

I'm turning 16 at the end of May and I really wanted a sweet 16, but my parents don't have the money to spend on it and my mom thinks it's a bit silly. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a 16th birthday party for a girl.

I would really like if everyone was able to dress up nicely, but not have to rent out a venue or something like that. Any suggestions will do! Thanks.

I am turning 16 in less than 2 months, and I have no idea on what to do. I would really like to do something unique, but my birthday is in December. I really don't like most winter themed parties, and I am fairly athletic.

Not many of my friends are as well, but I would to do something active. None of us are really girly. And I am planning on maybe 5 or 6 people at the most.

Will you have snow? If so, how about tobogganing? Skating and skiing require skill to really be fun, and can be expensive if you need a ski lesson (and then it will be fun.) What about laser tag? That might be totally different and is active without being too difficult.

I turn 16 at the end of January and I have no idea what I want to do. I don't have enough close girlfriends to have it be just us, so I want to do a mixed group. I just can't seem to find anything good to do. Other Sweet 16s that I have been to have had pool tables, ping pong, poker, arcade games, etc. I'm just worried that it will be completely boring. One girl in my class had a party during the summer, but it was wildly inappropriate and I'm worried that if I have a dance party, everyone will think it's a complete bore compared to hers. What should I do?

Do a scavenger hunt! Those are always really fun. Another idea is if your party is in the winter, maybe going ice skating then to dinner and/or a movie would be fun as well. Lastly, just a fun sleepover with your bffs is a blast, even though it is simple.

I'm turning 16 on the 9th of February and I have absolutely no idea what to do. I want something fun and enjoyable but not something huge like a party as I don't have many friends and am not really into parties.

I wouldn't mind spending a day out with my boyfriend, but my birthday is on a school day which doesn't help. I really need some ideas as I've searched everywhere and I can't find anything that I like or am interested in.

Some ideas may be the thrifty date: you and your friends/boyfriend go to the 2nd hand store with a small budget ($5-20) each buy the tackiest outfit you can for that amount. do fashion show while you are there and just have fun putting the most hideous outfit tougher.

You then follow this up with going out to your birthday dinner (in the outfits of tacky) i recommend something like McDonalds. bring a table cloth and candle for the meal and just have a grand time. Its cheep its fun and can be done with as many or few people as you wish. Just have a good time.

A few good ideas if you want to have a dress up theme would be a masquerade which sounds a lot more expensive and hard than it is. All you need to do is decorate your venue fancy and then have someone play music and get a dress and mask or a tux for guys, then there is your party.

You could also do a red carpet themed party, where you just hang with friends and talk and dance in fancy outfits, but obviously the red carpet itself is essential. There are many more things you could do so suggest researching this more, and good luck to you!
