What else can you do with the plastic tool boxes your tools come in? I use my tools frequently, so putting them back in evening isn't practical. So, there are about 7-10 various plastic boxes taking up space in my basement. What other things can these be used for? Repurposed? Recycle them? Thank you.

There are tons of things that tool boxes can be used for. If you're into crafting, they're great for storing a lot of craft supplies. And if you're going on a trip, they're great for putting your craft supplies to go with you into. If you're into gardening, they're ideal for carrying around your supplies so you don't have to be running back and forth to the shed.
If you have kids and travel, they're great for packing things to keep the kids occupied on the trip. Even on a plane. If the box isn't too big, they can carry it on board. Pets? Keep all your pet supplies easily accessible, and findable!
They work great as jewelry boxes too with all the little compartments on top. And lots of room to store boxes in the bottom. They are handy to have next to your desk to hold all kinds of things: all the little things can go on top into the small compartments. Extra reams of paper can go in the bottom.
I could go on and on, but these are just a few things you could use them for. Just let your imagination run wild and you'll come up with lots more!
Are these the flat-type plastic cases like cordless drills come in? If so, we have converted them into first aid kits...spray painted it white, then spray paint a red cross on it. They could also make a good lap desk, with space inside for paper, pencils, pens, crayons, etc. I could also see keeping scrapbooking supplies in them, or individual cross stitch projects that are in progress, with chart, highlighter, project in or out of embroidery hoop, scissors, baggie with floss for that project, and baggie for scrap floss.
Just a few ideas.
Could be used for Make-up cases or even better for fishing tackle boxes.
