Sewing Machine Needles Gumming Up?

How can I keep my sewing machine needle from gumming up when using sew-in computer printer fabric?

Try wiping with cotton balls soaked in rubbing alcohol! Wipe the needle top to eye occassionally while sewing. I use it when sewing through adhesive velcro, etc., and it works like a charm to keep it clean. Good luck!

Sure wish I had known about this tip when I was sewing with the sequin material that had the little sequin dots glued on it. I swore I'd never sew with that kind of material again. Maybe I shouldn't have said never.
