Egg Carton Bulletin Board

Recycle egg cartons and make them into an interesting bulletin board.

Supplies:

• 3 egg cartons
• scissors or x-acto knife
• masking tape
• ribbon, yarn or string
• hole Punch
• Optional: Paint, glitter and other decrotive items.

Directions:

Cut the lids off the egg cartons leaving the bumpy part of the container. On one leave the flap that you use to close the egg carton with but with the other two cut that piece off.

Using masking tape, secure each carton to each other, like shown in the picture. Make sure to leave the egg carton with the flap on the outside.

Punch two holes in the flap approximately 4" apart.

Tie a knot on one end of your ribbon, yarn or string big enough so it will not be pulled through the hole. Pull string though hole leaving the knot on the backside. Pull the end of the string through the second hole and tie a knot.

If you want to make your bulletin board fancy you can paint it, glitter it or decorate it any other way you desire.

Find some tacks and pictures and pin them to your new recycled bulletin board!

Mini Bulletin Board

I added a "mini" bulletin board above my computer screen. To make the small bulletin board, I covered a long strip of scrap foam with fabric using my glue gun. I then used sticky back velcro to attach it to the top edge of my monitor. Now I have a place to pin memos, passwords, etc. (I work at home so pinning up password is safe - don't do this in an office of course.)

Using a Window Shade as a Bulletin Board

In my office, I don't have any room for a bulletin board. So I use my pull up/down window blind for the same purpose as a bulletin board, but with tape instead of pushpins. I keep my window blind half way up and put any pictures, notes, or any info, etc. on the blind, just above eye level. I've even had compliments on it!
