But if you do not want the extra cash because you feel its time and trouble. Then advertize on your local radio station that you want it picked up free of charge. And you will get numerous people wanting to pick it up espeacially junk yards. Because they will make money off of it by selling it for parts. Junk yards make good money from that. Put a sign on the car too that says Free Take It Away! It will soon be gone. About 10 years ago I knew a guy who traveled the a four-state area with his own car crushing equipment. He would find people who had lots of old cars laying around their place and just go up to their door and ask if he could take them off their hands. He would then crush the cars, load them up on a trailer and then he had a hired truck driver that would take the crushed cars to, in his case, Dallas, TX where they would then be sold for scrap material to be recycled. My point is you might try contacting any large recycling company, and ask if they know of anyone who does this. Also you may want to know that people sometimes do PAY you to take the vehicles off your property, as was the case with this friend many years ago. Hope this is a beginning of something that will help you! In most areas, they will come and pick up you car, for free, to auction off and raise money for their cause. You can also use it as a tax deduction. If they don't do it in your area, check with other organizations - I know there are about 6 in my area that you can donate used (non-running) cars to.
