Slow Cooker Apples

There is nothing that can compare to the smell of apples being slow cooked and what better way to fix them?

Ingredients:

  • apples, enough to fill crock pot

  • 1/2 cup water
  • spices and butter, if desired

Directions:

Fill crock pot with peeled and sliced apples, add 1/2 cup of water, spices and butter, if using.

Cook on LOW all day or all night

* for those watching their diet or their sugar intake, sweeten apples with Splenda. I use Wal-Mart brand; it is cheaper. Add some Heart Smart margarine and enjoy.

What a wonderful smell to wake up to in the morning!

I'm going to try this. Bet it will be so good on toast for breakfast. I like applesauce on peanut butter toast. And stir a spoonful in oat meal.
