Removing Dull, Stained Appearance from White Tile Floor

I have a black and white tile kitchen floor. It was only cleaned with white vinegar and ammonia until recently when it was cleaned several times with Spicand Span.

Now the white tile has a grey discoloration. I have had the floor professionally cleaned and it did not not help at all. Any suggestions?

Maybe wipe with a white vinegar solution a few times.

Removing Dull, Stained Appearance from White Tile Floor

How do I clean a white tile floor in my rental house? What works best to get rid of the stained dull appearance of white tile?

Hannah, white vinegar. I read, put 1/2 cup to the final rinse water of cleaning the floor. I also add about 1 cup white vinegar to the final rinse of my washing machine, no fabric softener or dryer sheets. I use especially for towels. They come out of the dryer with no vinegar smell. No residue and are more absorbent. (01/07/2008)
