Grandma's Bread and Butter Pickles
- 1/2 Tbsp. celery seed Boiling water
- 1-2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
Slice any size cucumbers and large onion thinly. Add celery seed and salt. Pour boiling water over them and let stand until water cools; drain. Prepare vinegar - let come to a boil and place approximately 2 pints/1 quart cucumber mixture and boil again. Place hot pickles in sterile jars and seal. Repeat recipe until all cucumbers are canned. Let cool and store.
