Use a FULL strength citrus cleaner such as "Citrus Breeze" You can purchase this on line. It works great on permanent marker on almost anything. Just don't dilute it.

We had a dog that chewed a permanent marker on very light carpet. We ended up using OxyClean. It took several scrubbings but it came completely out.
