All of a sudden my electric clothes dryer will only work with the door open. When you close the door it stops. Does anyone know what to do?

There is an interlock switch that is normally closed when the door is closed by a peg or other mechanical means. This normally prevents the dryer from running if the door is opened. Something has happened to make switch malfunction and work the opposite of what it should. The dryer should be serviced by a qualified person.

Hope this helps.
