Take some of that hand-sanitizer that you bought that one time and put it on the key to unlock it (with the keyhole, not the button) or the outside of the door and the hand-sanitizer should get rid of that frost.

Does anyone know how to open a storage unit door that is frozen shut? It is not near any electrical outlets. We have tried spraying de-icer on it.

If you can string a cord, try a hair dryer. Good luck.
