Stretching Moisturizer |

I need to use quite a bit of facial moisturizer just to have enough to spread over my entire face. I have found that if I wet my hands or face first, I can use a very small amount, as it will thin out and spread easily. My face feels just as moisturized this way. I would think this would work for body lotion as well.

RE: Stretching Moisturizer
Be aware that if you're using a wrinkle cream or a cream for other benefits, you won't get the full benefit from it by "stretching" it. I'm not sure, but it may also affect how much you benefit if your moisturizer has SPF.

Your skin does not absorb the moisturizer-it holds in what moisture you have on your skin. As soon as I wash my face I use my skin freshener then my moisturizer, and it doesn't take nearly as much. Your skin absorbs the water not the moisturizer.

This is true. The beautician at the salon that I go to recommends this. Good for you, thinking of it on your own!
