How do I clean my washing machine on the inside?

Put bleach in your washer and run it with nothing in it except bleach.

If it is hard water residue, the vinegar will work. If vinegar is too slow, you might want to use CLR, which is just a stronger acid. It if it soap and fabric softener "gunk" you might want to use a stronger cleaner or scrape off accumulated gunk with something like a plastic spatula that won't scratch the underlying enamel. Then clean with hot water, detergent, and a brush. (09/09/2008)
