Save and Melt Extra Margarine for Cooking

I store extra margarine or butter in an old margarine container, up to one cup. When a recipe calls for a measurement of soft margarine or butter, all I do is heat up the container for a few seconds in the microwave and pour into the measuring cup needed for the recipe.
