Tomato Equivalents
Here's a super easy recipe equivalent chart for tomatoes:
3 medium tomatoes = 1 lb.
8 small plum tomatoes = 1 lb.
25 to 30 cherry tomatoes = 1 lb.
1 lb. fresh diced = 1 1/2 cups
1 (16 oz.) can = 2 cups
1 (28 oz.) can = 3 cups
1 (35 oz.) can = 4 cups

Deeli, do you know the comparisons for how much actual tomato there is per can, vs the water, when comparing whole, diced, crushed, and stewed tomatoes? It seems to me that with a can of whole tomatoes there is a lot more water than with the others. Thanks!
