There is no need to buy vinaigrette at the store. Make a fresh batch anytime you need to at home.
- 3/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. tarragon
- 1 Tbsp. chives
- 2 tsp. Beau Monde
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. Mustard - Dijon style
- Few drops Tabasco sauce
- 1 Tbsp. dillweed
Mix all ingredients and whisk well. Chill. Prepare mainly outside leaves of lettuce. Slice mushrooms and chill both separately. Just before serving add 1/3 mixture to sliced mushrooms and add salt to taste. Let mushrooms marinate for a few minutes. Toss lettuce with rest of dressing. Serve with mushrooms added to bed of lettuce.
