I worked with a young teacher who wore Kahki pants a lot and they always seemed so spot free and clean. One day I got the courage to ask her secret. She said that when she bought new clothes she sprayed them with scotchguard before wearing or washing them . She would occasionally refresh the scotchguard after washing. Just passing along someone elses cleaning tip. I read the article about the canvas shoes and it made me think of it.
I do this with my daughter's clothes all the time. She's very prone to getting chocolate and tomato sauce on her expensive clothes. Just remember not to use fabric softener; it reduces the effectiveness of Scotchguard.
