Making a Cup Holder for a Porch Swing

Does anyone have a good idea for a cup holder on the arm of a swing? These arms are not really wide, but I go outside to "swing" and need something to either hold my coffee cup or tea cup? Any simple ideas? Thanks.

Jar lids work good too. And although I believe in glue, I would rather see a couple flat head nails in the bottom. Coffee and tea can be hot if spilled, and they might soften the glue over time.

You might want to think about gluing or nailing a tuna fish can of right circumference onto the arm, or a deep plant saucer.
