Cheese and Salsa Dip

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. box Velveeta or generic brand cheese, cut up
  • 1 cup salsa - thick and chunky is best

Directions

Mix cheese and salsa in 1 1/2 qt. microwaveable bowl. Microwave on high 5 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring after 3 minutes. Serve hot with tortilla chips or crackers.

I also put in a can of Hormel chili (with no beans) and this is like a meal. This is one of my kids fav. and also an easy thing to take to potlucks.

I usually do easy, fat- or calorie-lowering modifications like using reduced fat Velveeta, and doubling the salsa proportions
