Try hanging in the sun for a few hours on a windy day.

I know that if you have clothes that are smelly from smoke (i.e: You have been near a bonfire or such) that washing your clothes in the washing machine with a tin of full on sugary Coca Cola takes out the smell, I was wondering whether this would work on a musty raincoat.

Maybe a good few capfuls of white vinegar in the wash might help also.
No harm in trying either remedy :)
Good luck,

Monique
