Installing Aluminum Eaves in Cold Weather?

Does aluminum expand or contract in cold weather? I was curious because I was thinking of installing aluminum eaves in our sub zero cold weather.

Like all metal it contracts in cold weather and expands in hot weather.

Hey, Shawn, I also live in dear old Winterpeg! Right now, I'd advise waiting until early April, or you'll freeze your buns off!! It contracts, but don't know how much.

Can't be much, as it is nailed tightly when installed. They don't leave it loose, like siding, so it can contract and expand. Ask at Home Depot. They'll tell you.
