Just don't forget that when you do this, you reduce the SPF (sun protection factor) by about 1/2 also. So if you bought SPF 30 sunscreen, your lotion-sunscreen mix will only be around SPF 15. Also, any "waterproof"-ness that the sunscreen claims to have will also be messed up by mixing with lotion, so it won't stick if you go swimming or sweat a lot.
