Yes, but you have to know how to do it. I have done it for years. You can buy the products and brushes at Sally's Beauty Supply and don't need a card but you must know how to sculpt them. There is a strong odor to the solution and I prefer to do it outdoors.

I have never heard of making acrylic nails at home. However, discount stores have the kits that include the nails and everything you need to apply them at home.
