See what her favorite colors are and even mix 2 or 3 colors to the canopy, walmart has very pretty sheer fabric for $1.50 per yard and she could pick some colors she likes of it to use as the drapery for it, they even have glitter fabric or theme fabric which is a bit higher per yard like hanna montana, or high school musical, but again I would take her and let her decide. good luck

Since this is for a teenager; the teenager should have a major say in what decorations they have.

This is a golden opportunity to give them a budget and guide them through working creatively and living well on a fixed dollar amount. It's also a prefect time for them to get used to researching things on their own so they learn how to do things around their home and what things actually cost. Redecorating was always a great bonding time and learning experience for us and our kids.

If you just give them what you like they don't learn anything and they're really too old to have someone else's taste put on them.
